- Transducer One x 3" Full-Range
- Dual Neodymium Rare-Earth Magnet - Motor
- 4Ω Resistance
- 100 db volume full volume, measured at 3' [comparison: jet flyover at 1000 feet (103 dB)]
- Overdrive protection circuitry to avoid having a “blown” speaker, built-in
The porting in our speakers is important, it allows for added vibrations that transverse through the wood. Porting a speaker has become a lost art. Today most portable speakers use a passive radiator to manufacture bass, in small air volumes. At Princeton Audio, we don't. Our goal is to faithfully reproduce music as the artists intended it.
Adding vibration is paramount and therefore our transducers (the speaker element) in our S:One's are physically attached to the wood chassis on an exacting "thin spot". This was engineered intentionally to introduce those extra vibrations through the wood allowing it to become part of the system, thereby enhancing the sonic properties of the S:One.
